How Much Do You Charge?

Each party is different, and we charge accordingly based on services needed, party size and location. We happily offer discounts for schools, churches, fund raisers and charity events.

There is no travel fee unless the location of your event is 20 miles or more from Brownstown, MI. If you would like us to create custom designs for a themed event, we charge a small creation fee for each custom design, as it can take several hours to come up with each one.

If for some reason the number of guests at your party ends up being larger than anticipated when booking, we can usually stay longer at the same hourly rate; providing that we are not already booked for an event immediately after yours. This ensures that none of your guests go home feeling disappointed.


Why is there a Two Hour Minimum?

Through trial and error, we have come to realize that the vast majority of time, more people end up coming to parties than is anticipated. In addition, more often than not, many adults also wish to have their faces painted once they see the designs on the children. In order to make sure that everyone is satisfied, we require a two hour minimum.


Are Your Paints Safe?

At Michigan Face Painters, we use only the highest quality of professional grade cosmetic paints. We use several different types of paints, but they are all safe and gentle for the skin, and wash off easily with soap and water.


How Far in Advance Should I Book?

It is a good idea to book at least two to three weeks in advance. Although, during the summer and around the winter holidays, we suggest booking at least a month early. These times are our busiest, and dates fill up fast. However, we do have multiple entertainers, so we generally do not have a problem booking events on short notice.


How Far Do You Travel?

We are located fifteen miles south of Detroit, and proudly offer services the entire Metro Detroit area. We will travel as far south as Toledo, as far west as Lansing and as far north at Flint. We are willing to travel out of this are for special circumstances.


How Many Faces Can You Do In An Hour?

On average, we can paint eight to ten faces an our. Each design generally takes three to seven minutes to complete. This varies depending on the types of designs you are interested in. Our more elaborate faces can take up to ten minutes while our simple ones generally take only three. Cheek art can be a quick alternative, however that also depends on the designs you choose. Please take this into consideration when booking the length of your party.


What is Your Cancellation Policy?

While it is extremely rare that we have had to cancel an event, if for some unseen reason that happens, we will make every attempt to inform you with as much time as possible so you can book another painter.

However, as stated above, we do have multiple painters and that is rarely a problem. In addition, we have numerous associates in the industry that we can refer you to. Rest assured, if you book an event with us you will not be disappointed.


Which Painter Will I Get?

You will get which ever painter you request, providing they are not already booked for the date of your event. All of our artists are very talented and paint beautiful designs. You will not be disappointed with the quality of our work.
